Maulana Tariq Jameel has arrived at Jati Umra and will lead Begum Kulsoom's funeral prayers.

LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's wife, Begum Kulsoom, will be laid to rest today (Friday).

The body of the former first lady, was moved to Sharif Medical City in Jati Umra almost half an hour after a flight carrying it from London landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Friday morning.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-758, which departed from London's Heathrow Airport carrying Begum Kulsoom's body touched down around 6:45am.

Begum Kulsoom's funeral prayers will be held at Sharif Medical City Ground in Lahore's Jati Umra neighbourhood at 5pm.

Maulana Tariq Jameel will lead Begum Kulsoom's funeral prayers. The scholar has arrived at Jati Umra and was received by Capt (retd) Safdar.
