KARACHI: The provincial government has approved appointments of Regional Police Officers (RPOs) in Sindh by accepting recommendations made by Inspector General Police Syed Kaleem Imam, ARY News reported on Saturday.
Formal approval has been made by the Sindh authorities regarding appointments of Regional Police Officers (RPOs) following a notification released today.

Overall three Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs) will be deployed in the province including the position of police chief existed in Karachi.
The new appointments will be made separately for Hyderabad and Sukkur ranges.
Concerned departments of Shaheed Benazirabad [former Nawabshah District] and Mirpur Khas police will work under newly-appointed police chief in Hyderabad range.

Moreover, the Sukkur’s Additional Inspector General will be given additional charge of Larkana range, the notification stated.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Dr Syed Kaleem Imam had recommended appointments of regional police officers in order to bring betterment in law and order situation.
