Satellite centres

The Sindh government has set up National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD) satellite centres across Sindh. Naushahro Feroze, however, is bereft of this facility. Although the city’s sole Civil Hospital has a cardiac coronary centre (CCU), the centre isn’t well-equipped. When cardiac patients come to the civil hospital in emergency, doctors and the CCU staff provide them first-aid services and then referred them to the nearest NICVD centre which is at a distance of at least 100 kilometres. Many patients die before reaching there.Residents of Naushahro Feroze request the Sindh government to establish a NICVD centre in their city so that the lives of heart patients can be saved.Abdul Bari Qadeer MemonNaushahro Feroze
