This refers to the letter ‘Spend wisely’ (February 28) by Shahabuddin Khan. While agreeing with the writer, I’d like to mention a few important points. Most of the funds received in assistance from foreign friendly countries are used for large projects without properly analysing their economical return. Many of these projects result in permanent losses.Large projects also provide easy loopholes for corruption. This is one of the reasons that our debts have been rising without any improvement in Pakistan’s economical and social conditions.Syed Asif Hussain ShahMansehra
