ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia will grant funds to Pakistan for five projects of energy including Mohmand and Diamer Bhasha dam projects, ARY News reported.
Islamabad and Riyadh will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard during the upcoming visit of Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.
Sources said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will sign MoU of 1.275 billion Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR) for the five energy projects.
They said Saudi Arabia will provide 375 million SAR for Diamer-Bhasha Dam and 300 million SAR for Mohmand Dam.
Saudi Arabia will grant 153.7 million SAR for Jamshoro Power Project, 131.2 million SAR for Jagran Hydro Power Project and 247.5 million SAR for Shonter Project, said the sources.

A summery about Saudi Funds for Development and MoU for the projects will be presented in the federal cabinet on Friday.
The crown prince will arrive in Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan on February 16 (Saturday).
The Saudi crown prince’s two-day visit of Pakistan will further promote mutual cooperation between the two countries, Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal said.
The foreign office in Islamabad formally announced Saudi Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s visit of Pakistan.
Prince Muhammad bin Salman holds important ministries in the Saudi government, including that of the Vice President of the Council of Ministers.
The crown prince accompanied by a high-powered delegation including members of the Royal family, key ministers and leading businessmen, the spokesman said.
