ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday met with former army chief and the commander-in-chief of Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), General (retd) Raheel Sharif, ARY News reported.
The ex-army chief and the minister discussed the regional situation and overall security situation of the country. Chaudhry said the government was taking important measures to improve law and order situation.
“The world is now moving towards making an investment in Pakistan”, the information minister said.

Earlier in the day, General (retd) Raheel Sharif, called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and exchanged views on regional peace and security. The upcoming maiden visit of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman also came under discussion during the meeting.
Raheel Sharif, had also met Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.
Yesterday (Feb 11), a delegation of Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, led Raheel Sharif had called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
Matters related to mutual interest, including regional peace and stability came under discussion during the meeting, according to the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR).
The two-day long visit by the delegation comes ahead of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s scheduled trip of Islamabad.
