ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday claimed that the political careers of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari have ended and both the leaders fought their last elections in 2018, Radio Pakistan reported.
While talking to media, Fawad Chaudhry said, with the across the board accountability ongoing in the country, these corrupt party leaders are now merely seeking a way to digest their looted money but “they would never succeed in their designs.”
Commending Prime Minister Imran Khan for setting a new precedence of self-accountability by reviewing the performance of his cabinet members on an individual level, Fawad said “the progress of 26 ministries was scrutinized in the first phase, while the process will continue to ensure good governance.”

As per Radio Pakistan, Fawad said each minister was asked three questions as to what measures have so far been taken by his ministry to cut expenditures and save resources, what targets have so far been achieved and what next plans are in pipeline?
The information minister said Imran Khan has a clear vision to steer Pakistan out of all shortcomings by following the model of a welfare Islamic state like Medina.
The government has introduced a new tax culture to expand the tax base in order to bring more tax payers to the tax net.
