
KARACHI: Police have arrested a six-member gang of underage motorcycle thieves on Wednesday in Karachi, ARY News reported.
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Central Arif Aslam Rao said the culprits had confessed to dozens of crimes including stealing bikes from within limits of different police stations in Central District, Karachi. He said acting upon the information received from them, police have recovered nine motorcycles.
“The brazen young suspects are aged between 14 and 18, but they are adroit at stealing bikes,” he said.
The police officer told that the suspects, Aamir Hyder, Saleem alias Khachia, Khairullah, Kamran, Khan Wali and Shehzad, were arrested by Sir Syed police station personnel.
A case has been registered against them for their involvement in stealing motorbikes.
Arif Aslam said two pistols were recovered from Aamir and Saleem.
