Hindu yatrees arrive in Pakistan to visit ‘Katas Raj’ temple

ISLAMABAD: 139 Hindu yatrees on Sunday arrived in Pakistan through Wagha Border to attend their guru’s birth anniversary at Katas Raaj temple.

According to the details, the Hindu yatrees, during their six day stay in Pakistan, will spend most of their time at Katas Raaj Temple near Chakwal to celebrate their guru’s birth anniversary. The yatrees will return India on 14th of this month.

Katas Raj is one of the holiest places for the Hindu community in Pakistan.

It is pertinent to mention here that Prime Minister Imran Khan, on November 28, had laid the foundation stone of Kartarpur Corridor which will link Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan with India’s Gurdaspur district.

Former Indian cricketer and member of Punjab cabinet Navjot Singh Sidhu and other Indian ministers were also present at the occasion,

The Sikh community was demanding for a long time to build a corridor linking India’s border district of Gurdaspur to historic gurudwara in Narowal, Pakistan. The corridor will give Indian pilgrims easy access to the shrine in Kartarpur.
