ISLAMABAD: Terming the agriculture sector back bone of the country, Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umer on Sunday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insa (PTI) government is focusing to promote the sector.
Talking to journalists, Asad Umer said that the government is taking concrete measure to facilitate farmers to encourage farming. The minister said that power and fertilizer is being provided to farmers at subsidized rates.
The minister said that restoration of agriculture was the part of PTI manifesto and added that progress in agriculture will eventually strengthen the economy.
Taking advantage from Chinese expertise in agriculture : PM Imran
It is pertinent to mention here that Prime Minister Imran Khan, on November 27, had said that Pakistan was taking advantage form Chinese expertise in the field of agriculture.
He said that China had assured them cooperation in the agriculture field and added that they will take benefit from latest research and new tools in the agriculture field.
