KARACHI: Karachi police chief Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh on Thursday inaugurated a special unit, Traffic Enforcement Unit, to control traffic on one of the city’s busiest artery Shahrah-e-Faisal.
The Additional Inspector General of Sindh Police (AIGP) inaugurated the unit at Cantt Traffic Police Chowki.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the unit comprises 20 cars and 16 two-wheelers. The purpose behind setting up this unit is to regulate traffic on Shahrah-e-Faisal, he explained.
