ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a meeting of the federal cabinet on Nov 23 (Friday) to take it into confidence on his visits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Malaysia.

The prime minister, who boarded an Islamabad-bound flight after conclusion of his trip to Malaysia this evening, will preside over the meeting on Friday at 11:00am.

He will brief members of his cabinet about his recent foreign trips.

Sources told ARY News that the premier will review the performance of his government in the first 100 days and federal ministers will likely furnish reports on the 100-day performance of their respective ministries and future strategies formulated by them during this period.

Finance Minister Asad Umar will apprise the cabinet about talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a bailout package. He will also brief the cabinet about agreements reached with the UAE and Malaysia.

On Tuesday, the prime minister along with a delegation travelled to Malaysia where he met his Malaysian counterpart Dr Mahathir Mohamad. During the meeting, both the countries signed a number of agreements to enhance cooperation in diverse fields.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and held a meeting with his counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Matters of bilateral interests and important international as well as regional issues came under discussion during the meeting.

The UAE prime minister had issued a statement in Urdu on his official Twitter handle in which he welcomed Mr Khan to the Gulf state. “We cherish our rich history of bilateral relations [with Pakistan] based on trade and brotherhood,” said the UAE premier.
