KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday arrived in Kuala Lumpur on a two-day official visit.
He was received by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Senator Marzuki bin Yahya and Deputy Minister in the PM Office of Government of Malaysia Dr Mohammad Farid bin Rafik.

The prime minister is accompanied by a high level delegation, including Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umer, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry and PM’s adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood.
This is the first state visit by any foreign leader since Dr Mahathir Muhammad assumed office in May 2018 and Prime Minister Imran Khan’s first bilateral visit to Malaysia, according to the Foreign Office.
The two prime ministers will have a one-on-one meeting followed by delegation-level talks.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit would provide an opportunity to further cement the existing friendly and cordial bilateral relations by enhancing economic, trade and commercial ties, for our mutual benefit.
Lately, the premier in a telephonic conversation with his Malaysian counterpart, had appreciated the initiatives taken by Kuala Lumpur to boost the economic scenario of the Southeast Asian country.
Mr Khan also highlighted the need for exchange of delegations between the two countries and collaboration at an operational level to benefit from each other’s expertise.
