PESHAWAR: A bomb was exploded in the Jumma Mandi Bazar, situated in the area of the lower Orakzai Tribal district, that killed nearly 10 people and injured 20 others, ARY News reported.
According to details, the blast took place outside the gate of a seminary. As many as 20 people were injured, who have been shifted to the hospital.
As per sources, almost 10 civilians lost their lives during the incident, while security forces have reached the site.
The affected area is located in Hangu town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Earlier today, two policemen were martyred and three assailants were killed in a terrorist attack on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi.
No civilian casualties were reported as per police sources and the Chinese Consul General along with Chinese mission of the Consulate remained unharmed during the incident.
The security officials said that the assailants failed to enter the Consulate and two of them were shot dead outside the building by the rangers snipers.
Heavy contingents of rangers and police arrived at the site and the exchange of fire took place between the assailants and forces, as the Consulate came under attack and the deployed security guards and the entrance gate were attacked with a hand grenade by the terrorists.
