Baker makes 350-pound cake to celebrate 12th Rabiul Awwal

RAHIM YAR KHAN: In reverence of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, a baker in Rahim Yar Khan prepared a mammoth 350-pound cake to celebrate the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, ARY News reported.

The cake was prepared by a local baker named Arslan. Expressing his views with the ARY News, Arslan said it took him two days to prepare the cake with the help of around a dozen people.

“The purpose behind preparing the cake was to show boundless love and affection with our last messenger of the God, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)”, the baker said.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) is being celebrated with great religious zeal and fervour countrywide amid tight security to avoid any untoward incident.

The day dawned with thirty-one guns salute in the federal capital and twenty-one guns salute in all the provincial capitals.

After Fajr prayers in the mosques, special prayers were offered for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperity of the country.

According to details, special programmes have been chalked out to lighten various aspects of the life of the last Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH).

Mosques, government and private buildings, markets, shopping centres and roads across the country have been ornamented with green buntings, flags and colorful lights to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) .

Meanwhile, vendors have set up colourful stalls with various collection of badges, stickers, flags, and banners inscribed with religious slogans to pay respect and reverence to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) across the country.
