
ISLAMABAD: Terming the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government ‘incompetent’, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday urged the political parties to unite against the party’s policies, ARY News reported.
Addressing a press conference in the federal capital, Asif Ali Zardari said that the incompetent leadership cannot run the country and asked the political parties to bring resolution to correct the direction of the country.
Zardari said that he had never been beneficiary of the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO). He termed allegations levelled on him about NRO publicity stunt by his rivals.
The PPP leader said that NRO was nullified by the former chief justice. Zardari said that he had handed over all powers to the parliament
He said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Nawaz Sharif benefited from NRO. Zardari said PPP had delivered during its tenure.
Zardari said former president Pervez Musharraf had imprisoned him in his tenure. He said the country was under crises in Musharraf’s tenure but situation had turned better as he received add after 9/11.
The PPP leader said that when his party had come into power, the foreign add had been suspended. Zardari said that they had introduced futuristic policies when they formed the government, but when Nawaz Sharif came into power, he discarded his policy.
The PPP leader said that he has been facing cases lodged by Nawaz Sharif. Zardari said that he was not against chairman NAB, but the approach he adopted.
