PM to embark on two-day visit to Quetta tomorrow

Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will travel to Quetta tomorrow (Saturday) on a first visit since he became the country’s chief executive in August.

During his two-day stay in the provincial capital, the prime minister will preside over a meeting of the provincial cabinet to review the provincial government’s performance since it assumed power following the July 25 elections.

He will hold meetings with Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan and newly appointed Governor Justice (retired) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai.

PM Khan will also chair a meeting to review law and order in the province. He will address a gathering of members of the Senate, National and provincial assemblies.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had called for measures for the development of Balochistan and ordered the implementation of development projects, provision of basic facilities as well as generation of economic activities in order to remove the sense of deprivation.

He was talking to a delegation comprising Senate chairman Sadiq Siranjani, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal and Defence Production Minister Zubaida Jalal, who had called on Imran Khan at the PM Office.
