PESHAWAR: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Siraj-ul-Haq on Tuesday said the country desperately needed Islamic revolution, ARY News reported.
“We will make Pakistan an ideological and Islamic country. We will bring the change from our personal self,” he said while addressing a youth convention in Peshawar.
He said Pakistan’s actual assets were youths and not the nuclear arsenal. He said Pakistan’s over 65 percent of population was young.
“Young people of Pakistan should not follow any plunderer of public exchequer, oppressor or corrupt leader. Only youth could fulfill the dream of Allama Iqbal,” he said.
Siraj said value of rupee had slumped against US dollar and the government had no serious program to address this issue. He said the government was looking towards the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
The JI chief said the government changed every five years, but not fate of the people. Why only Pakistan was facing economic crisis in the region, he asked.
