Govt investing in human resource development, says Azam Swati

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science & Technology Azam Swati on Tuesday said the government was investing in human resource development and its management as it was aware of its importance.

He was addressing as chief guest at the closing ceremony of two days international conference on ‘Emerging Challenges for Organizations in Developing Economies (ECODE)’ organized by Bahria University (BU) Islamabad.

The conference highlighted the issues related to innovation and new venture creation, organisational diversity and managing a new form of organization and the financial crisis.

The minister said that it was heartening to know that the ECODE conference had attracted a good number of researchers from all around the globe and had high number of submissions.

He appreciated the BU efforts in organising this international conference and highlighted important aspects concerning creative and innovative business ventures which needs an initial investment.

Earlier in his address, Rector of Bahria University, Vice Admiral (R) Muhammad Shafiq expressed his gratitude to the chief guest for his presence in the ceremony.

He said that Bahria University thrived on the unrelenting passion to promote and sustain research culture in Pakistan, nurturing scholars both academically and pragmatically. Prominent distinguished speakers from USA, Turkey, Netherlands and Pakistan participated in the conference.
